Welcome to the Clear Creek Aikido. We are the home to, currently, two martial arts: Tomiki-ryu Aikido, and Shindo Muso Ryu Jyodo.
We are located in the heart of Houston's Bay Area, midway between Houston and Galveston. We are about 1 mile west of I-45 (Gulf Freeway), easily accessible.
Our instructors are very experienced in their arts, many of them have been studying for many decades. For Aikido, we have two 6th dan instructors. The Jyodo instructor is Tim Cleghorn, a 4th dan in the art and Ph.D. in astrophysics.
Our main goal is to see that the students learn their chosen art in a safe, fun, and positive environment. But we are not just a martial arts school, we strive to be a social community as well. Accomplishments are noted across all arts and promotions are open for all to attend. We also have regularly scheduled get-togethers away from the dojo and irregularly scheduled larger functions.
We hope that you will call or stop by the dojo to get a more personal feel of the environment and sit in on a class or two. We want to help students learn!
